11.10.5 HOW TO MERGE PLAYLISTS
From the VGA, it is possible to merge two playlists by copying a playlist and
pasting it to an existing playlist. The copied playlist will be added at the end
of the destination playlist.
11.10.6 CONSOLIDATING A PLAYLIST
11.10.6.1 OVERVIEW
Using the internal loop, you can record a playlist back to the server as a big
clip if you want, for example, to record the playlist effects (split screen,
target tracking, painting, etc) as regular video inside the server.
Depending on the Internal Loop Mode parameter in the setup menu, p2.3,
F1, both video and audio can be looped back into the system, or only the
video track is looped and the system keeps recording the live audio at the
same time.
11.10.6.2 HOW TO LOOP BACK A PLAYLIST INTO THE SERVER
To consolidate a playlist using the internal loop mode, proceed as follows:
1. Add the requested effects to the playlist.
2. Recue the playlist.
3. Activate the LOOP mode via the SHIFT+LOOP key.
4. Roll the playlist.
The playlist will be recorded onto the disks (Channel 1 – CAM A) as a
continuous video/audio stream.
When you exit the playlist mode, go back to LIVE record and simply jog
back, you will see the playlist recorded with all its transitions and at the
speed they were played.
11.10.7 GENERATING A CONTINUOUS TIMECODE IN A
PLAYLIST
11.10.7.1 OVERVIEW
You can regenerate a continuous timecode for the whole playlist or for each
clip of a playlist. This can be useful when:
you do not want to have a playlist with disrupted timecodes from the
various playlist elements
you want to change the timecode type in the VITC or LTC timecode
