OVERVIEW OF GPI SETTINGS
Each time you define a GPI, you need to specify the following settings:
GPI Setting Description Possible Values
GPI number Number of the GPI used From 1 to 4
GPI mode Type of electric signal used Pulse high, Pulse low,
Level high, Level low
GPI duration Duration of GPI signal In frames and seconds
GPI advance Whether and how much in
advance the GPI signal will
be sent to the third-party
device.

Clip GPIs
Replace GPIs
Video Transition GPIs
4.16.2 REPLACE GPIS
PURPOSE
They can be used to trigger the external device that will add video or audio effects
to the part of the timeline that will be replaced.

4.16.3 VIDEO TRANSITION EFFECT GPIS
PURPOSE
They can be used, for example, to add video effects to cover a transition effects.
